Horseshoe Bay at Peel Island is a semi-circular-shaped bay facing towards the southeast. It has white sandy beaches, shallow water close to shore and clear water.
Being completely sheltered from any wind from the north, common in summer, it is a calm bay for swimming, stand-up paddleboard, kayaking and paddling in the shallows.
It is a beautiful island and the gem of Moreton Bay.
This is our most popular destination.
If there is too much southeast wind for Horseshoe Bay, the alternatives are nearby Bird Islet Sandbar or the Lazarette, on the north shore of Peel Island.
